Easy AI Presentations Using Gamma
This is a technique that I used to create a high-quality presentation recently. It was useful when I was creating a summary of a list of companies or a market map. This approach is repeatable for other types of presentations as well.
1. Gather Your Data
- Visit a website with a market map or a comprehensive list of companies. A good example is Synaptic's list of Fintechs using AI: [Synaptic Resource]
2. Extract Relevant Information
- Use the following prompt on your favorite AI chatbot ( I used ChatGPT’s GPT-O4 model):
PROMPT:
“Extract all the [specific industry/sector] companies that are using [specific technology/feature]. Create a table with the following columns:
1. Company Name
2. Use Case/Description
3. Key Technologies/Features
4. Website Link
5. Customer Segment
Ensure the information is detailed and accurate, reflecting the latest data available. Convert the table to an Excel file that I can download.”
3. Prepare Your Presentation
- Open a new Chat window in ChatGPT. Upload the Excel file created in the previous step and use this prompt below. Please note that I tailored this prompt for my presentation, and you may need to change it to suit your specific format.
PROMPT:
“Task: Convert this Excel file into an informative PowerPoint presentation with one [category] on each slide.
Details:
1. Title Slide:
- Title: "[Main Topic or Theme]"
- Subtitle: "[Brief description or context]"
2. Content Slides:
- Title: [Item Name]
- Content:
- Description: [Brief description of the item]
- Key Features: [Key features or technologies used]
- Website Link: [URL to the item's website]
- Customer Segment: [Target customer segment]

My note:
Download the presentation from ChatGPT
Modify the placeholders (e.g., [category], [Main Topic or Theme]) as needed.
4. Create the Presentation in Gamma
Gamma.app
- Go to Gamma.app and import the powerpoint presentation you created in the step above.
- Use the Theme setting to overlay a theme that fits your presentation.
- Utilize the “Edit with AI” option to enhance visuals. Commands like “make this more visual” or “add an image” can help.
- Explore other features to refine your presentation.
5. Finalize and Share
- Once your Gamma presentation is ready, download it in your preferred format or present it directly through Gamma.
Takeaway:
This is a valuable hack for creating presentations when you have to summarize a lot of information with your research (websites/PDFs can be used as input, and you can get beautifully formatted presentations).
